Road reblocking, repairs resume this weekend

MANILA, Philippines—‎Expect heavy traffic over the weekend as the Department of Public Works and Highways resumes its road reblocking and repairs on major thoroughfares in the metro.

‎In its latest advisory, the Metro Manila Development Authority said the repairs, which started Friday night, would be until Monday at 5 a.m.

‎Motorists were advised to take alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion in areas near the following:

*Along southbound lane of Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (Edsa) between Loring Street and Park Avenue in Pasay City

*Along southbound lane of Edsa between Bansalangin Street and West Avenue (first lane) in Quezon City

*Along Edsa between Caloocan and Quezon City boundary and F. Aguilar Street (lane 5), between Malvar Street and Arellano Street (lane 5), between Ponce Street and Concepcion Street (lane 2) and between Concepcion Street and Gen. Tinio Street (lane 5), Caloocan City

*Along Kamuning Road between Scout Ybardoloza Street and Scout Torillo Street (second lane) in Quezon City
