4.1 magnitude quake hit off Davao Occidental coast

MANILA, Philippines – A 4.1 magnitude earthquake jolted off the coast of Davao Occidental before noon Monday, the state seismologist said.

In the latest quake bulletin of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the quake hit 174 kilometers southwest of Sarangani at 10:50 a.m.

The quake has a depth of focus of 326 kilometers.

Phivolcs said it does not expect damages and aftershocks.

Meanwhile, a 3.3 magnitude earthquake hit Tagbilaran city in Bohol at 5:43 a.m. Bohol was hit by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake last October 2013.
