Truck runs over, kills student in Manila

MANILA, Philippines – A 13-year-old high school student died Friday after being run over by a truck along Del Pan bridge in Tondo, Manila, a radio report said.

The still unidentified victim was crossing the bridge when the accident happened.

The victim was brought to the Gat Andres Bonifacio hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

The driver, who was arrested by Manila police, blamed the slippery road.

Authorities are investigating the incident.
