MANILA, Philippines—A man died after he was pinned under a wall that collapsed during a demolition of houses in Makati City Tuesday night.
According to Chief Insp. Jenny Tecson, public information officer of the Southern Police District, the victim identified as Julius Tumbocon was taken to the hospital by Makati Rescue.
The incident happened around 6:35 p.m. along Kalayaan Street and Chino Roces Avenue (formerly Pasong Tamo Street) during a private demolition in the area.
