MANILA, Philippines—The Department of Justice (DOJ) is still studying whether to oppose or not the bid of businesswoman Janet Lim-Napoles to undergo surgery and confinement in St. Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig.

“I have to discuss that with our prosecutors because she already was checked up in Camp Crame,” De Lima said.

Napoles, in her motion filed before the Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 150, asked the lower court to allow her to undergo medical surgery and hospital confinement.

Napoles used as basis the result of her medical examination in Camp Crame, which found a mass inside her uterus.

De Lima said they never opposed Napoles’ earlier bid to undergo medical check-up outside Fort Sto. Domingo, but whether they will do the same on Napoles’ latest petition is still not sure.
