UST hospital fire put out
MANILA, Philippines—Fire broke out on the 6th floor of the University of Santo Tomas Hospital Tuesday morning but was immediately put out.
Fire Officer 3 Roberto Gutierrez of the Sampaloc Fire sub-station said they received a call around 11:30 a.m. that the 6th floor of the building was on fire.
The officer said the blaze was immediately placed under control and was put out before 12 noon.
He said their arson department was investigating the source of the fire though reports said it seemed to have started in the laboratory of the hospital’s charity building.
Radio reports said fire trucks were seen along Lacson Avenue in Manila.
