5 hurt in grenade attack in North Cotabato
KIDAPAWAN CITY, Philippines—Five persons were hurt when unidentified suspects lobbed a hand grenade in the public market of Midsayap town in North Cotabato on Monday night.
Supt. Renante de los Santos, Midsayap chief of police, in a text message said two suspects riding on a motorcycle tossed the explosive in front of the busy fish section of the public market around 8:45 p.m.
De los Santos said the wounded victims sustained serious injuries.
The blast also damaged some fish stalls.—Williamor A. Magbanua
