LPU tops tourism skills Olympics

Tourism students of   Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) Manila campus won the championship in the recent 3rd National League of Tourism Students Skills Olympics at the University of Baguio.

LPU-Manila won the most gold medals in the various competitions.

The event was organized by League of Tourism Students of the Philippines, with the Tourism Educators and Movers of the Philippines and the University of Baguio.

Danielle Bill Salanio, Elaine Villanueva and Gaudy Collado received the gold for tour package presentation, Michelle Alegre got the gold in poster-making and Axel John Olleres was awarded the gold in international  tour guiding.

FEATURED STORIES

Michelle Van Eusebio, Lorraine Mae Padilla and Jane Camille Jacinto joined the quiz bee, while Camille Hidalgo represented LPU in the domestic tour guiding  category.

The students were mentored by Enrico Cruzada and Sally Limgenco. They were assisted by Carl Francis Castro.

A total of 15 universities from Luzon and Mindanao participated in 10 categories.  LPU-Manila participated in five categories.
