MANILA, Philippines—Former Technology Resource Center (TRC) chief Dennis Cunanan on Monday dared Senators Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., Juan Ponce Enrile and Jinggoy Estrada
to submit to a lifestyle check and open their bank accounts for scrutiny.
“I am issuing this public challenge to the principal suspects in the PDAF (Priority Development Assistance Fund). Senators Juan Ponce Enrile, Jinggoy Ejercito Estrada and Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla, if you are innocent as you publicly claim you are and you have nothing to hide, please submit yourselves to the same lifestyle check and execute waivers of the benefits of the bank secrecy law so the public may know once and for all who is telling the truth,” Cunanan said in his statement.
Cunanan maintained that he did not receive any kickbacks from the P10-billion scam as TRC deputy from 2007 to 2009 and as its head in 2010.
He reiterated he is willing to be subjected to a lifestyle check and to sign a waiver for authorities to examine his bank accounts.
Cunanan earlier said about P600-million worth of projects funded by pork barrel allocation were coursed through the TRC during the time he was its deputy head.
Earlier, several sectors, including lawmakers such as Senator Grace Poe Llamanzares have expressed doubts on Cunanan’s testimony saying that unlike other witnesses such as socialite Ruby Tuason, he has not admitted liability and accepting kickbacks from the PDAF scam.
