Police Chief Superintendent Alejandro Advincula of the PNP Health Services Department, however, confirmed that they rented a “transvaginal ultrasound machine,” which cost P5,000.
Advincula said they rented an ultrasound machine from their health service provider, Health Avenue, since the PNP General Hospital does not have that equipment.
The PNP admitted that they lack the necessary facilities that is why they rent equipment from their service providers if the need arises.
Advincula in a press briefing showed to reporters the receipt amounting to P5,000 to disprove allegations that they spent P130,000.
He clarified that the amount is separate from the P120,000 spent for the transportation and security forces of Napoles during his travel from Fort Sto. Domingo in Laguna to Camp Crame in Quezon City.
On February 24, the Makati Regional Trial Court granted the plea of Napoles to seek medical attention.
