MANILA, Philippines – Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Visayas will have fair weather aside from isolated light rains, the state weather bureau said Monday.

This was because of the northeast monsoon affecting Luzon and Visayas, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its daily bulletin.

Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, Pagasa said.

Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over eastern section of Luzon and Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast with slight to moderate seas.

For the rest of the week, Luzon and Visayas will experience generally fair weather conditions apart from isolated light rains especially over the eastern section due to northeast monsoon, Pagasa said.

Mindanao, meanwhile, will be partly cloudy to cloudy with chances of isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
