Construction worker electrocuted after trying to reconnect power line

DAGUPAN CITY – A construction worker died Friday night after he got electrocuted when he attempted to reconnect the power line from an electric post to his house in Bayambang, Pangasinan.

Superintendent Gaston Cafongtan, Bayambang police chief, said Leodovico Torio, 32, was drunk when he climbed the electric post of the Central Pangasinan Electric Cooperative(Cenpelco)  at about 8:45 p.m. on Friday to reconnect the power line to his house in Barangay (village) Buenlag II in Bayambang town.

Cafongtan said Cenpelco linemen had disconnected it because Torio had not been paying his electric bills.
