Ex-Sharia Court judge links Mike Arroyo to poll fraud

MANILA, Philippines — Former   Sharia Court Judge Nagamura Moner has directly linked former First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo  into the alleged massive cheating  in 2004 during Tuesday’s hearing  in the Senate.

Testifying before the blue ribbon committee, Moner said he talked to Arroyo over the phone   sometime on May 14, 2004 and received an instruction to ensure the  victory of  his wife, then President and now Pampanga Representative  Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

“I received a call from Cusi asking me where I am…and he passed the phone to Mike arroyo and Mike Arroyo asked me where  I am,” he told the committee, referring to former  Philippine Ports Authority general manager Alfonso Cusi.

“He (Mr. Arroyo) just told me to do everything  for the President (Mrs. Arroyo) and after the elections I will take care of you and your family,”   Moner said.

Before this, Moner said Cusi called him in the evening of May 13, 2004, “Telling  me that I should  go to Cotabato City , Tawi tawi and Sulu in that order to find a way what can be done  for  the President on those areas because  (President  Gloria Arroyo) was losing in those areas.”

“At first I refused telling Cusi I am not from those areas and there’s not much  I can do in  those areas,” he said.

Moner was one of the passengers of a helicopter, allegedly owned by the former First Gentleman.

The  used choppers allegedly sold as brand  new to the Philippine National Police was the  subject of the investigation  by the committee.
