QUEZON CITY, Philippines – A parking attendant was stabbed dead Thursday night inside the University of the Philippines campus in Diliman, Quezon City.

Ramon Dy, 25, did not make it alive to the hospital after being attacked by a still unidentified assailant on a vacant lot near the UP College of Law building.

Case investigator Police Officer 2 Roldan Cornejo said Dy, a resident of Barangay Pansol, was walking in the area with his live-in partner Esperanza Sevillo around 8:25 p.m.

Sevillo said Dy excused himself to find a secluded spot to urinate and left her for a minute. When Dy came back, he was already bleeding from multiple stab wounds and told her that a man had stabbed him for no reason.

Bystanders helped bring Dy to East Avenue Medical Center, where he was declared dead on arrival.  Julie M. Aurelio
