15 injured in Baguio road accident—police

MANILA, Philippines – Fifteen people were injured in a vehicular accident along the Baguio-Vizcaya Road, Philippine National Police spokesman chief superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said in a text message Thursday.

Agrimero said Ryan Regacho, the driver of the black 4×4 Chevrolet, with plate number GHR-555, was descending a sharp curve when a mechanical defect in his vehicle forced him to lose control, causing the accident at KM Post 302 in Ngano-an, Poblacion, Bokod, Benguet Wednesday.

Aside from Regacho, 32, 11 of the injured were identified as
Erwin Baguilat, 20; Solomon Licyayo, 20; Shary Mae Licyayo, 22; Joel Prince Bilibli,7; Princes Joy Licyayo, 7; Elija Paligan,1; Darline Uyan, 4; Ariel Baguilat, 9; Elisa Regacho, 43. Three others were not identified.

All came from Kiangan, Ifugao and were going to Baguio City when the accident happened, said Superintendent Leon Tallo, public information officer of Police Regional Office in the Cordillera Administrative Region.

All the victims were rushed to the Dennis Molintas Hospital in Daclan, Bokod. Erika Villanueva
