Light rains seen in most parts of PH – Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines – Light rains were forecast in most parts of the country on Monday, the state weather bureau said.

The northeast monsoon continued to prevail in Luzon and Visayas, while a trough of a low pressure area is affecting Southern Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

The region of Caraga will be cloudy with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains. The rest of Mindanao, meanwhile, will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, Pagasa said.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon, Visayas and eastern Mindanao.

The coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast with slight to moderate seas.
