MANILA, Philippines—A magnitude 3 earthquake struck Hernani, Eastern Samar at 10:49 a.m. on Valentine’s Day, with intensity felt all the way to Tacloban City.
According to the bulletin of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) on Friday, the quake hit six kilometers south west of Hernani, which was battered by Super Typhoon “Yolanda,” the world’s strongest typhoon to hit land.
It was felt at Intensity III in Hernani and Intensity II in Tacloban City.
No damages or aftershock is expected, Phivolcs said.
