MANILA, Philippines – Senator Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada said Ruby Tuason, the latest whistleblower in the pork barrel scam, was only being fed information by Benhur Luy during Thursday’s Senate investigation.
“It’s quite obvious on her body language and replies… She has to confer with Benhur Luy and constantly refer to her affidavit,” Jinggoy told reporters on Thursday.
He made the statement after Tuason, the former social secretary of the Estrada patriarch, testified before the Senate panel pinning down the senator in the alleged racket involving the lawmaker’s pork barrel funds.
During the hearing, Tuason has constantly turned to Luy over the particular amounts of kickbacks. She said she does not keep records but Luy does.
Estrada also denied Tuason’s statement that she personally delivered kickbacks to his residence and to his office at the Senate.
