Warm weather due to easterlies in eastern PH

MANILA, Philippines—The easterlies, or warm winds from the east, will continue to affect parts of eastern Philippines, the state weather bureau said Friday.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Eastern Visayas, Caraga region and Davao Oriental will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Temperatures in Metro Manila will be between 22 and 33 degrees Celsius. In Baguio City, temperatures will be between 14 and 23 degrees Celsius.

Light to moderate winds blowing from the east to northeast will prevail over Luzon, Pagasa said.

The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.
