MANILA, Philippines—(UPDATE 3) A woman survived an 11-floor drop in a building in Makati City, a police official told INQUIRER.NEt Wednesday.

The victim, Ildelyn Montono, 20, fell from the 18th floor and landed on the swimming pool on the seventh floor of the Paseo Parkview Condominium, said Makati City Police chief Senior Superintendent Froilan Bonifacio.

Investigators at the scene quoted the guard as saying that a drunk Montono went up to a Korean national’s condominium unit Tuesday. The guard suspected that the Korean man, who left the victim alone inside the unit Tuesday night, was Montono’s boyfriend.

The guard identified the Korean as a certain Sae Um Lee but could not determine where he went, Bonifacio said.

Montono was rushed to the Makati Medical Center for treatment, Bonifacio said.
