Manila Mayor Lim asks public’s help vs sellers of ‘double dead meat’
MANILA, Philippines — Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim is asking consumers to help in the campaign against sellers of spoiled or rotten meat, Erwin Aguilon of 990AM reported Monday.
The report quoted Lim as saying that people should inform authorities immediately if these meat products also known as “double dead meat” were being sold.
A bill increasing the fine of up to P200,000 and imprisonment of up to six years and one day has been proposed in Congress, the report said.
