MANILA, Philippines—Banking security just got better for employees of the Inquirer Group of Companies.
Security Bank, the banking services provider of the IGC, on Tuesday installed its newest automated teller machine at the Media Resource Plaza, which houses several IGC entities including INQUIRER.net, Radio Inquirer, Bandera and Hinge Publications.
The new ATM officially opened Tuesday afternoon with IGC president Paolo Prieto headlining the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
“It’s very meaningful to us because it means money is here with us,” IGC human relations chair Ray Soberano said lightheartedly during the ceremony. “(The new ATM brings) convenience, safety and security; having an ATM here is a very concrete message that your management is taking care of you.”
Also gracing the event were Security Bank officials Lolet Mangilit, first vice president for corporate banking group, and Joey Sison, sales officer; and Macario Rufino, chairman of Print Town, an of IGC member.
