LABORER KILLED IN ERMITA

A MAN was shot dead by an unidentified assailant in barangay Ermita, Cebu City at dawn yesterday.

Police said Rodrigo Abellon, 38, a laborer in Carbon market, was shot in the head while walking along a road around 3 a.m.

The victim died on the spot.

The assailant fled after the attack.

Police are still investigating the attack to identify the assailant and motive of the killing./CORRESPONDENT RHEA RUTH V. ROSELL

WOMAN FOUND DEAD IN LOREGA

A WOMAN was found dead in barangay Lorega, Cebu City early morning yesterday.

Josephine Seban, 41, was found lifeless in a makeshift stall at the side of the road.

Judy Yosores, 41, told police that she was about to open her store when she saw Seban whom she thought was just sleeping.

Yosores tried to wake Seban up but she did not respond.

Police were then called. They said the woman had no external injuries indicating that there was no foul play involved in her death.

MAN SHOT DEAD IN MANDAUE

A 28-YEAR-OLD man died after he was shot by a group of teenagers whom he scolded for making noise in barangay barangay Upper Labogon, Mandaue City, yesterday dawn.

Kenneth Viyador sustained a gunshot wound in the throat. He was declared by doctors at the Mandaue District Hospital.

Police said Viyador and his friend Raymond Dasig, 29, were headed to a store to buy some liquor past 1 a.m.

Police said Viyador and Dasig met a group of teenagers who were making noise.

Police said when Viyador told the group not to make noise. One of the teenagers got irked, drew a gun and shot him.
