Army reservist supplying drugs to cops, soldiers nabbed

MANILA, Philippines—His camouflage won’t hide him this time around.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency operatives busted Private David Repoponio, an enlisted Army reservist of the 6th Infantry Division in Parang, Maguindanao, in a buy-bust operation in Thursday morning.

According to a statement, an undercover agent of PDEA Regional Office-Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA RO-ARMM) posed as a buyer in a transaction with Repopinio that involved a sachet of shabu and agreed to meet the latter in his neighbourhood in Poblacion 1, Parang, Maguindanao.

As soon as Repopinio received the marked P200 bills, other agents from the PDEA RO-ARMM under Director Yogi Felimon Ruiz arrested him.

Repopinio surrendered 15 more sachets of shabu and various drug paraphernalia used for sniffing the drug.

“Based on the investigation, Repopinio supplies illegal drugs to uniformed policemen and soldiers in Parang, Maguindanao,” Undersecretary Arturo Cacdac, PDEA Director General, said.
