‘Dolce Vita’ striptease dancer dies – report
ROME – A belly-dancer whose striptease in a Rome restaurant in the 1950s caused a scandal and inspired filmmaker Federico Fellini for his cult movie “La Dolce Vita” has died in Rome, aged 78, Italian media reported Thursday.
Beirut-born Aiche Nana, who was of Turkish origin, stripped in a restaurant in the trendy Trastevere district that was raided by the police.
Her daring act was photographed by a famous “paparazzo” of the time – Tazio Secchiaroli – and a scene with the striptease featured in Fellini’s 1960 masterpiece.
