MANILA, Philippines- Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) operatives of the Philippine National Police (PNP) said they arrested last Sunday one of the most wanted persons in the Philippines involved in a bank robbery more than a decade ago.
In a report by Superintendent Roberto Fajardo of the CIDG, he said Bingbong M. Kapina was seized in Upper Tabiran in Kabuntalan in Maguindanao.
Fajardo said Kapina was a former security guard of a security agency who led the RCBC robbery and killing of a teller in Alabang, Muntinlupa city in 1999.
The suspect was brought to CIDG headquarters in Camp Crame in Quezon City on Monday for proper documentation and medical examination prior to his return to the concerned Regional Trial Court (RTC).
