Did you know: Goiter Awareness Week

Today, Jan. 27, is the start of Goiter Awareness Week, which is held every last week of January by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 1188 signed by former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in December 2006. According to the National Nutritional Council, this year’s celebration will kick off at Epifanio de los Santos Elementary School in Malate, Manila.—Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
