Senior Superintendent Wilben Mayor, Philippine National Police spokesperson, said a joint operation by the PNP Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency was conducted in Barangay (village) Don Galo around 1 p.m.
Mayor said the four suspects allegedly involved in transporting the illegal drugs were identified as Mark Jun San Gabriel, 29, of Bulacan, and Felino Diamse, 49, of Ilocos Norte and Robert Tan, 63, of Paranque City, and Oliver Tan, 26, also from Paranaque City. The last two were identified as Filipino-Chinese.
Chief Inspector Roque Merdegia, PNP AIDSOTF spokesperson, said in a phone interview that the drugs were probably shipped to the country from China.
The SUV, he said, was a silver Mitsubishi Adventure bearing the plate number WVI 579.
The suspects are now under the custody of police pending charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2013 violation.
