WOMAN FOUND DEAD
THE decomposing body of a woman was found a few meters from her house in barangay Langub, Asturias town, northwest Cebu, last Friday.
Police said Elma Pitogo Hoyohoy, 30, had been missing since Tuesday night.
Police said the woman may have fallen from a cliff.
She was found with injuries in the head and body.

WORKER NABBED FOR MARIJUANA
A CEMENT factory worker was arrested after he was found in possession of dried marijuana leaves in his workplace in Naga City, southern Cebu.
Nick Uy Quitat, 37, was apprehended by security guards of Cemex Manufacturing Corp. who inspected workers reporting for work.
Dried marijuana leaves wrapped with a cigarette pack and another pack of dried marijuana leaves wrapped with a cigarette silver foil were seized from Quilat.

BOY DROWNS IN MANDAUE RIVER
A 10-YEAR-OLD boy drowned while swimming in the Butuanon River in barangay Tingub, Mandaue City, yesterday.
Edwin Tancho was declared dead when he was rushed to the Mandaue City Hospital.
Police said Edwin and another 8-year-old boy were seen swimming in the river around noon.
The other boy sought help from residents when Edwin disappeared.
It was past 1 p.m. when the boy’s body was found submerged in a part of the river that was about 20-meter deep.
