MANILA, Philippines—Tropical depression Agaton, which has now been downgraded into a low pressure area (LPA), is still in the country after lingering her for nearly two week and claiming at least 40 lives and displacing thousands of families in Mindanao.
On Wednesday morning the state weather bureau spotted it over Davao City.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) earlier said that the LPA might still morph back into a storm.
With the LPA still lingering, Pagasa said Eastern Visayas and Mindanao would experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms on Wednesday.
Luzon, including Metro Manila, and the rest of the Visayas, meanwhile, continue to be affected by the northeast monsoon, or hanging amihan.
Pagasa said that these areas would be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated light rains.
