MANILA, Philippines–Rains in parts of Mindanao will continue for up to three more days even as tropical depression Agaton dissipated into a low pressure area on Monday.

Jun Galang of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said that the low pressure area remained at the Philippine area of responsibility and it will take two or three days before it fully dissipates.

The LPA was last observed 400 kilometers east southeast of Davao City.

“The regions of Caraga and Northern Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with moderate to heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides,” Pagasa said.

The rest of Mindanao will be cloudy with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.

The northeast monsoon, meanwhile, continued to affect Luzon and Visayas.

Visayas will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated light rains.
