MANILA, Philippines – More domestic flights at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) were cancelled on Tuesday due to a low pressure area, bringing bad weather to the Visayas, Mindanao and Bicol regions.
By 1 p.m. on Tuesday, 22 Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific and AirAsia Zest flights had been cancelled at the NAIA Terminals 3 and 4.
Sixteen of the flights were heading to and from Cagayan de Oro in Mindanao, and were originally scheduled to depart Metro Manila as early as 4:40 a.m and arrive as early as 8 a.m.
Cancelled were Manila-Cagayan-Manila flights 5J 381/381, 5J 397/398, 5J 519/520, 5J 383/384, 5J 385/386, 2P 527/528, Z2 340/341, and Z2 593/594.
Also cancelled were Manila-Visayas-Manila flights 2P 971/972 bound for and arriving from Tacloban city, 5J 5029/5030 bound for and coming from Catarman, Samar; and flights 2P 265/266 going to and from Naga, Bicol.
