NLEX faces Café France in D-League

THE NLEX Road Warriors look to come even closer to the leaders when they tangle with the Café France Bakers today in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the JCSGO gym.

NLEX’s schedule was adjusted because of their players’ commitment to the Sinag Pilipinas team in the Southeast Asian Games. With that done, the Road Warriors are slowly catching up to the rest of the league, winning over the Jumbo Plastic, 89-70, last week to hike their record up to 5-1 (win-loss).

Today, they battle yet another squad that is lounging in the top half of the standings in the Bakers, who have not seen action since beating the Hog’s Breath Razorbacks, 81-58, last Dec. 16. That win was their seventh in 10 outings.

In the other two games of today’s triple-header, the Wang’s Basketball tries to bounce back from their loss to NLEX when they take on the still-struggling National University-BDO in the opening game.

The final game of the afternoon will see the Cebuana Lhuillier Gems take on the Arellano-Air21 Chiefs. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
