MANILA, Philippines – A man suspected to be high on solvent made a scene amid the Black Nazarene procession Thursday afternoon by jumping from the Quezon Bridge in Quiapo, Manila, a radio report said.

The unidentified man who fell into the murky Pasig River was immediately rescued by members of the Philippine Coast Guard on rubber boats.

He was given medical aid and turned over to police.

A woman at the bridge told the radio station that before the man jumped, she saw him sniffing solvent.
