MANILA, Philippines—Batangas Vice Gov. Mark Leviste; his father, Conrad; and uncle Antonio Leviste are set to show up at the Department of Justice Thursday to face an inquiry in connection with the police raid in a Lipa City ranch where 84 kilos of shabu worth P420 million were seized.
Also summoned to the 2 p.m. preliminary investigation hearing were the ranch’s lessee, Jorge Gomez Torres, who remains at large; and the arrested residents, Garry Tan, Arjay Argenos and Rochelle Argenos.
Torres, Tan and the Argenoses are facing charges of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.—Jerome Aning
