LAGUNA—Two suspected robbers were slain in a clash with policemen in Biñan City early Tuesday.
Biñan City police chief Supt. Leo Luna by phone said police at a checkpoint in Barangays San Antonio and Canlalay flagged down the suspects who were riding in motorcycles without license plates.
Instead of slowing down, the suspects sped past the checkpoint and fired at the lawmen. Luna said police retaliated resulting in a brief gunfight in St. Francis 5 Subdivision in Barangay Canlalay.
He said the suspects, whose identities remained unknown, died of multiple bullet wounds. Maricar Cinco, Inquirer Southern Luzon
