3 girls drown in Laguna

Cavinti, Laguna—Three girls drowned in Caliraya Lake in Cavinti, Laguna, on Sunday, according to police.

The sisters—Sofia May, 15, and Roma May, 13, both surnamed Virata and their friend Lovelyn Guerrero, 12—were with adult companions when they decided to spend time in the lake.

Police  said  the girls were resting on a rock in the middle of the lake when Sofia May slipped into the water. Her sister Roma May and Guerrero jumped into the water to save her. Maricar Cinco, Inquirer Southern Luzon
