Guingona son hurt

A SON of Sen. Teofisto “TG” Guingona III was seriously injured after he rammed his sports utility vehicle into a lamppost along the Katipunan flyover in Quezon City before dawn Friday. Pieyter Norman Guingona, 18, was pinned behind the steering wheel and had to be rescued by a team from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.

Traffic investigator PO3 Renato Sunga said the young Guingona was driving a gray Isuzu Alterra on his way home to Don Enrique Heights in Quezon City when the accident happened. For still unknown reasons, Guingona’s SUV crashed into a lamppost located along the center island.

The traffic investigator said he has yet to speak with the victim  to find out what really happened.  Guingona  was rushed to the Quirino Memorial Medical Center but has been transferred to St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City. Julie M. Aurelio

High tech health system

NAVOTAS City Mayor John Reynald Tiangco has approved a P2.8 million project proposal for the citywide implementation of the community health information tracking system, an electronic medical record intended for the local government’s primary care health centers developed by the University of the Philippines Manila National Telethon Center.

This is in line with Tiangco’s program  to improve health service delivery to  his constituents and leveraging all possible resources available, including the use of information and communications technology for 10 primary health centers and one lying-in clinic in the city.
