MANILA, Philippines – President Benigno Aquino III should have the patience to listen to his critics and to right his wrongs, a lawmaker said in a statement.
“President Aquino must learn to listen to criticisms as well as correct his mistakes and not just praises from his subordinates and supporters,” Bayan Muna Representative Neri Colmenares said.
Colmenares said that the President’s New Year’s resolutions were dangerous for the Filipino people in 2014.
“This New Year’s resolution stems from the President’s belief that everything his government does is correct and beyond reproach and critics like the anti-pork movement are making baseless and malicious accusations,” Colmenares said.
“It is wrong for President Aquino to think his government is perfect and it can do no wrong.”
