MANILA, Philippines—Antinarcotic agents have filed charges against a couple who sold 100 pieces of marijuana bricks in Benguet, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Director General Jose Gutierrez Jr. said Friday.

Diego Kig-isan, alias Rodrigo Bartolome, 29, and Nelia Tay-og Wagayan, 47, were charged before the La Union Provincial Prosecutors Office for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, said Gutierrez.

Kig-isan and Wagayan were arrested while selling 93.6 kilograms of marijuana to a PDEA poseur-buyer on September 3, he said.

Violation of the drug laws is punishable by up to life imprisonment and a fine of up to P10 million.
