Detuya, Camanso rule PRO-7 Run for a Cause

JOEL Detuya and Jennalyn Camanso emerged the fastest runners in the first Police Regional Office (PRO)-7: Run For A Cause.

Detuya clocked 21 minutes and 13 seconds while Camanso crossed the finish line at the PRO-7 quadrangle at the Camp Serio Osmeña in 22:25 to rule the 5-kilometer race.

Trailing Detuya was Alcher Sanopao, who was just one second behind with a time of 21:14 while Riche Bation rounded off the top three with a time of 21:23.

Veteran runner Christy Tutor was the closest pursuer of Camanso after clocking 23:33 while Jade Abellana settled for third with a time of 23:50.

The running event was for the benefit of the typhoon survivors in northern Cebu. It was organized by PRO-7 headed by Supt. Renato Dugan. Joel Baring of Sports and Fitness Enthusiasts (SAFE) manned the race. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
