3 suspected ‘salvage’ victims found in Cavite
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna — Three suspected victims of summary execution were found on a grassy field in Naic, Cavite, Friday morning, the police said.
The unidentified victims, who were blindfolded and had their hands tied behind their backs, each sustained a gunshot wound in the hand, Senior Superintendent John Bulalacao, Cavite police director, said in a text message.
He said the bodies were about three to five meters apart from each other when they were found in Barangay (village) Timalan.
Superintendent Dexter Rellora, Naic police chief, said in a telephone interview that a boy living in the area found the bodies and reported it to the police at around 6 a.m.
Police said they suspected the victims were murdered in that area as empty shells from a 9-millimeter pistol were also found on the scene.
