The latest undersea quake of 4.7 magnitude on the Richter scale was centered about 98 kilometers northwest of Burgos at a depth of 24 kilometers.
At 3:02 a.m., a 4.9 magnitude earthquake struck off the northern town followed by a 4.7 tremor about 30 minutes later.
A weaker 3.1 magnitude quake followed at 10:48 a.m.
There were no reports of damage or injury from the temblors.
