North Korea warns of nuclear disaster, threatens US

SEOUL – North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un said Wednesday that the Korean peninsula would be engulfed by nuclear disaster if war breaks out there again, warning the United States it will not be safe in the event of a conflict.

Kim made the comments in his New Year message, broadcast on state television.
