P10-M worth of shabu seized in buy-bust operation

MANILA, Philippines—The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has confiscated some P10 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu in a buy-bust operation conducted Saturday afternoon in Quezon City.
PDEA spokesperson Derrick Carreon said in a text message to reporters on Sunday that the operation also led to the arrest of Weimou Shi, a 40-year-old Chinese national residing at 1212 Harrison Mansion in Malate, Manila.
The buy-bust operation was conducted by PDEA’s Special Enforcement Service at about 4 p.m. Saturday along NIA Road at the back of Eton Centris.
