Bus catches fire at SLEX

MANILA, Philippines – A passenger bus caught fire near the Sta. Rosa, Laguna exit of the South Luzon Expressway (SLEx), Inquirer Radio 990AM said.

The report said the Jam Liner was traversing along the northbound lane of the expressway when it caught fire. Firefighters have since responded.

Gretchen dela Cruz of SLEX said the bus  caught fire somewhere between Eton and Sta. Rosa around 10:10 a.m.

She said no one was hurt as the bus driver was able to pull off the road.

As of posting time, only three lanes are passable near the place of the incident, slowing down traffic.

Dela Cruz said investigators have yet to determine what caused the fire.
