MANILA, Philippines—The Professional Regulation Commission announced that 1,123 out of 1,480 examinees passed the medical technologist licensure examination administered in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, and Davao Cities last week.
Isabelle Basubas Baisac, a graduate of the Cebu Doctors University, topped the board exam, achieving a score of 91.70 percent, while Sherry Mae Casiño Mondido of the Velez College, also in Cebu, took second place with 91.30 percent.
Other examinees who landed in the top ten were: Gelyn Modequillo Ty, of the San Pedro College-Davao City, with a score of 90.20 percent; Cyrille Maria Trinidad Bebelone Enobio, of the University of the Immaculate Conception-Davao, with 89.80 percent; Roxanne Maritana Figueroa, of the University of Perpetual Help System-Laguna, with 89.60 percent; and Ma. Cecilia Miranda Santos, of the University of Santo Tomas, who scored 89.50 percent.
Lourivy Pulvera Durano, of the University of the Immaculate Conception-Davao, and Michael John Amolong Mondragon, of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, tied for seventh place with a score of 89.40 percent.
The other placers were: Jana Barbra Dela Cerna Mayol, of the Cebu Doctors University, and Cherry Rose Tuazon Reyes of the University of Santo Tomas, who tied for eighth place with a score of 89.20 percent; Cheryl Julie Samson Argent, of the San Pedro College-Davao City; and tying for tenth place with a score of 88.90 percent are Ray Carlo Villanueva Dela Cruz of the Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas, and Jake Lester Pugao Villanueva of the Far Eastern University Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation.
The top four performing schools in the board examinations are St. Louis University with a hundred percent passing rate where 60 of its takers all passed the board; the FEU Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation with 95.16 percent; UST, where 249 of 264 takers passed the board with its passing percentage pegged at 94.32 percent; and the San Pedro College-Davao City with an 85.14 percent passing rate.
The results of the board examination were released three days after the scheduled tests were held on September 3 and 4 simultaneously in four cities.
The PRC said that the registration for the issuance of professional IDs and certificates of registration to successful examinees will start on September 12 and end on September 15.
The new professional medical technologists are advised to bring all the requirements and to personally register and sign in the roster of registered professionals as well as to await further announcement on the schedule of their oath-taking.
