Chinese held for ‘shabu’

/ 09:51 PM December 24, 2013

Police and narcotics agents on Friday arrested a Chinese suspected of operating a “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) laboratory in a subdivision in Barangay Sta. Rita, Guiguinto town.

Senior Superintendent Joel Orduña, Bulacan police director, said Peter Tan was detained following a month-long surveillance after neighbors complained about the smell of chemicals from his rented house.

A team from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the police seized from Tan’s house an undetermined number of containers of chemicals and equipment used in manufacturing shabu. Carmela Reyes-Estrope, Inquirer Central Luzon
