In the September 7 issue, a front-page story—“US cable says general gained from Abu kidnap”—mistakenly identified the present assignment of Lt. Gen. Juancho Sabban. Sabban is the commander of the Western Command based in Palawan, which has jurisdiction over the West Philippine Sea—not the Western Mindanao Command, which is based in Zamboanga City. Sabban was the commanding general of Western Mindanao Command’s Task Force Comet from February 2007 to July 2009.

In the same issue, two photo captions on Page B2-4 of the Motoring section inadvertently omitted the first name of DDB Group Philippines president and CEO Gil Chua.
