MANILA, Philippines—A traffic enforcer of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority was shot and wounded by a motorist with whom he had figured in an argument in Mandaluyong City on Wednesday, police said.

Senior Superintendent Armando Bolalin, Mandaluyong police chief, said Larry Fiala was shot twice—in the arm and abdomen—by a still unidentified driver of a Nissan pickup with plate number WMD 505.

The shooting happened as the two were arguing over a traffic violation around 4 p.m. at the corner Rochester and Connecticut sreets, at the back of a gasoline station, Bolalin said

Fiala was rushed to Victor Potenciano Hospital, where he is under observation after receiving medical treatment, police said.
